A Dental Emergency

What is a dental emergency?

“My crowns fallen off!”
“I haven’t slept all night with toothache!”
“I have a sharp pain when I eat on my tooth!”
“My wisdom tooth is so sore!”

We are here to help, Birmingham!

Toothache is often on unexpected visitor but can happen for many different reasons.

Toothache can be caused by:
-A broken tooth
-An exposed nerve
-A badly decayed tooth
-A lost filling
-An infection inside your tooth

We understand that you may not already have a dentist in Birmingham when toothache arises and this means that a dental emergency is your first visit with us.

It can be hard to know which is the best emergency dentist to choose and you might be quite nervous so our emergency dentists are extremely gentle, understanding and here to help.

At The Dentist at Liberty Place our goal is to get you out of pain.

Your emergency dental appointment will always be with one of our dentists and they will always have plenty of time to thoroughly assess what has been causing the pain. This often means taking a small x-ray of your tooth and creating a plan with you for the best course of action.

During your emergency visit our dentists will support you to make the best decision about your tooth and to relieve your pain whilst you do. Sometimes this might mean we temporarily fix your tooth

We don’t tell you off if you haven’t been to see a dentist in a while! Instead we always invite you back for a full consultation once we have fixed your tooth.

Take a look around before you visit us!

The first thing we do when you visit our practice, is listen.

We take time to understand your concerns and your previous experience. We make time to treat you gently and with the care you deserve. We always welcome nervous patients and work with you to make your journey with us relaxed and pleasant.

I haven’t had a dental checkup in a long time. I am concerned with how much treatment I may need.

Years ago it was normal for people to need fillings every time they went to the dentist but things have changed for the better. Fluoride toothpastes have made a large impact on tooth decay and you may be surprised at how little treatment you need.

How do I start going to the dentist again if I am very nervous?

It may be helpful for you to visit our practice and meet our friendly staff before you arrange an appointment. We will do our best to restore your confidence by taking special care of you and answering all your questions.
